Enrollment Planning - Student Assignment Plan
New Student Assignment Plan
The objectives of the New Student Assignment Plan (NSAP) include providing greater predictability for families while still offering opportunities for school choice. The plan supports changes in how we serve students with special education needs, English Language Learners, and advanced learners, as well as increasing equity of access to programs and services for all students.
Transition Plan for 2013-2014
The New Student Assignment Plan is being phased in over a period of several years. An annual Transition Plan determines the specific implementation steps for each year leading up to full implementation. The New Student Assignment Plan Transition Plan for 2013-2014 provides more detailed information about assignments for the 2013-14 school year.
Attendance Area Boundaries
Boundary information is presented in conjunction with the NSAP and determines where students in Seattle Public Schools will attend school.
Individual school attendance area maps are available in our School Directory. The boundaries define the schools to which students will receive an initial assignment based on their address.
