A message from the Superintendent

Happy Administrative Professionals Week!

During the last full week of every April, we celebrate the colleagues who provide tremendous support throughout the year. I'm sure you will want to join me in extending thanks to the many team members who contribute to our success every single day.
Whether they work in your school’s main office or at the John Stanford Center for Education Excellence, our administrative professionals are essential to the principals, teachers, schools, families, central office and the larger school community.
Since joining Seattle Public Schools, I have seen these professionals serving with good humor and compassion under a wide variety of circumstances. No matter how many unexpected or challenging issues they face, they rise to the occasion in an exceptional fashion. These team members keep our organization running smoothly and efficiently so that teaching and learning can take place.
We all work together to foster a productive and friendly work environment, and our administrative support staff are on the front lines providing meaningful work and contributing greatly to our efforts.
Thank you to each and every one of you for everything you do.
Sincerely,

José Banda
Superintendent
