Garfield High jazz gala and fund-raiser scheduled for May 17
The public is invited to join jazz lovers citywide at the 2013 Garfield Jazz Gala at the Brockey Center on Friday, May 17.
This is Garfield's biggest and most important annual fundraiser to support the school's stellar jazz program, now 34 years strong under the direction of Clarence Acox, Jr. Those who attend can help support this nationally recognized music program and hear from talented young musicians how the Garfield jazz program has enriched their lives.
Guests can enjoy a festive evening with enticing appetizers and drinks; a sit-down dinner followed by scrumptious desserts in the Dessert Dash; great raffle prizes; silent auction items; and live performances by all three award-winning Garfield jazz bands.
