Seattle Public Schools celebrates National School Social Workers Week
Seattle Public Schools joins in the celebration of national School Social Workers Week March 3-9 and in recognizing our school social workers for their role in our students’ educational success.
“School social workers do so much in removing academic barriers for our students. They help students and families deal with issues such as, attendance, bullying, poverty, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, school safety, and other roadblocks to learning,” said José Banda, Superintendent, Seattle Public Schools. “Thank you for providing this critical link for our students, schools, and community.”
