Seattle Public Schools to showcase schools' physical education programs at Nov. 6 community event
After you exercise your right to vote, stop by Broadview-Thomson K-8 School Tuesday, Nov. 6 and see how Seattle Public Schools educators are helping children learn to exercise and stay fit for a lifetime.
It’s the Physical Education Community Showcase, where physical education departments at Seattle Public Schools and their community partners will be sharing the programs and community partnerships aimed at supporting the District’s mission statement: “providing a quality physical education program that builds knowledge, fitness, movement skills, social well-being and confidence so all students can enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.”
Parents, students and community members are welcome to browse the displays and talk with educators about Seattle Public Schools’ physical education initiatives.
The showcase will run from 6-8 p.m. in the main gym of Broadview-Thomson, located at 13052 Greenwood Ave. N., Seattle.
