A message from the Deputy Superintendent
August 9, 2012
Dear Seattle Public Schools staff,
As I mentioned last week, we are working on longer-term interim leadership plan for Teaching and Learning while we conduct a national search for the role of Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, which we hope to fill this fall.
I want to recognize Kimberly Kinzer, our Manager of Early Learning, for serving as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning for two weeks. Joining Kimberly in a leadership role is Paul Robb, our Professional Development Program Manager, who has agreed to serve as Interim Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the next two weeks.
Thank you to both Kimberly and Paul for your work, and I want to acknowledge the rest of the Teaching and Learning team. I know there has been a lot of change, but our goal of ensuring a smooth start to the 2012-13 school year remains.
We will keep you updated on our plans beyond the next two weeks.
Sincerely,

Bob Boesche
Interim Deputy Superintendent
