Ballard High Marching Band wins third place in Victoria Day parade
The Ballard High School Marching Band, under the direction of Michael James, won third place at the Island Farms Victoria Day Parade held on May 21, in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
The Victoria Day holiday - one of the largest holidays in Canada - celebrates the birthday of Queen Victoria. The parade is Victoria’s largest, drawing over 120,000 spectators.
Aside from participating in the parade, the band also performed in the annual Parade of Bands and had a stand-still performance on the steps of the Parliament Building.
