A message from the Superintendent
April 25, 2012
Good afternoon,
Each year, during the last full week of April, we celebrate Administrative Professionals Week in recognition of our colleagues who provide such tremendous support to us throughout the year. This year, Administrative Professionals Day is today, Wednesday, April 25 and I would like to take a moment to extend my thanks to these team members who contribute every day to the success of Seattle Public Schools.
From your school’s main office to the John Stanford Center, Seattle Public Schools’ administrative professionals help principals, schools, students, teachers, families, central office and all members of our larger school community. The essential functions that our team members accomplish each day keep our organization running smoothly and efficiently so our teachers can teach and our students can learn. These professionals truly understand the meaning of the phrase “performs other duties as assigned.” And I see them doing so with congeniality and compassion, even under some of the most unexpected and challenging circumstances.
I know that we are all committed to fostering a friendly and productive work environment. So, today, I extend my warmest gratitude to our administrative support staff for the meaningful roles they serve.
Sincerely,

Susan
