Educational Leadership article: McClure Middle School teacher advocates for more focus in civics
An article written by Web Hutchins, a teacher at McClure Middle School, has been published in this month’s issue of Educational Leadership magazine. The article is titled “Groomed for Citizenship: A focus on politics and public service promotes student expertise both in and out of school.”
The article tells how his high school students are lobbying leaders to give all students a civics-rich classroom experience like their own.
The article was published in the magazine on Hutchins’ “Civics for All” method and initiative and highlights the civic activism of his students over the years at Franklin High School.
