Input requested for proposed change to School Board meeting start times
The School Board is reviewing ideas for how to make the regular Board meetings (held on the first and third Wednesdays of most months) more efficient and respectful of the time of those participating and watching.
With the goal of Board meetings ending earlier, staff presented the Executive Committee with the idea of moving the start time of regular Board meetings earlier (4:15 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.). Because the start time would affect not only the timing of the business portion of the meeting but also the student presentations and public testimony, the Executive Committee asked that the Board Office post the options that are being considered and ask for feedback from the public.

If you would like to offer feedback, please email Theresa Hale at tlhale@seattleschools.org by April 6, 2012. It would be the most helpful if you address the following questions:
1) Do you support moving the start time of regular Board meetings earlier (i.e. 4:15 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.)?
2) If so, indicate which option you prefer and why.
3) If not, why not?
