Students explore options, learn about different science careers

Nineteen scientists, professors, and engineers from the Jane Addams K-8 community and school volunteered their morning on Nov. 18 to inspire the school's 4th- to 8th-grade students about the lifetime pursuit of science.

Jane Addams celebrated its 2nd annual Science Career Day with a small group setting that allowed students to explore career options, engage in discussions, watch demonstrations, or experience what the job entailed.

Jane Addams has an Environment and Sustainability focus in which students learn about Earth’s systems, participate in extended field studies and make science and sustainability connections in their community
