Shared Savings Award & Utility Data

Purpose
Encourage conservation and education through utility data and benchmarking, distributed to each school annually.
How it works
1. Utility data for each school is audited and analyzed by SPS Resource Conservation Specialists.
2. Schools that meet annual conservation goals and/or reduce use compared to the previous year receive a Shared Savings Award.
3. Award money is transferred to winning schools' "Utility Conservation" account in Fall of the following year.

Award Winners: 2011/12
Shared Savings Award Winners 2011/12. A total of 82 schools received awards for meeting conservation goals and/or for reducing their utility use. Information packets were mailed to all schools, along with award certificates for winning schools, in fall 2012/13. Monetary awards totaling $49,550 were shared with the winning schools. Schools that did not receive a Shared Savings Award may still apply for Green Team Funding and/or a Conservation Champion Award.

2010/11
A total of 72 schools received awards for meeting conservation goals and/or for reducing their utility use. Monetary awards totaling $29,500 were shared with the winning schools (distributed in fall 2011/12).
