Oct. 13, 2011 | Audience: Families, Community, Staff | Contact: seattlespedptsa@gmail.com

Join the Seattle Special Education PTSA for its annual conference on Saturday, Oct. 29 where families and educators can learn about ways to communicate effectively with students with disabilities. They can also learn how to craft appropriate interventions to address the individual needs of their students.

The program will feature Cecile Lindquist, a pioneer in the disabilities rights movement; a panel discussion with Individualized Education Program (IEP) team members; and four workshops on strategies for collaborating and advocating effectively.

Clock hours and Continuing Education credits are available, as are interpretation services upon request. The conference is free. Morning coffee and a light lunch are included, but the organization will need a head count. Please email seattlespedptsa@gmail.com for more information and RSVP by Oct. 22.
