The hourlong episode will show the full rebuilding process from the surprise announcement to the big reveal, including the community and local businesses coming together to volunteer and donate.
Ingraham students and staff learned in June that their school will be featured on ESPN's RISE UP program. Over the summer, Ingraham's athletic facilities received both major and minor upgrades, including a refinished gym floor, renovated weight- and locker-rooms, improved lighting and other improvements.
Ingraham is one of four schools which will be highlighted on the nationally televised program. Although the gymnasium and bleachers are over 50 years old, (right photo) the facilities were not the only reason Ingraham was selected.
In six of the last eleven years, the school has won its league "Sportsmanship Award" and teams are often praised for their leadership.
Since receiving the renovation, the Ingraham Rams' football program has felt the impact. The team is 2-0 going into Friday's game against Rainier Beach.
