Leaders from the Heart of Seattle Schools Project gathered at Roosevelt High School on Sept. 13 to put the District’s first automated external defibrillator (AED) in place. The AEDS are designed to help protect student athletes, students, staff and spectators from sudden cardiac arrest by restarting a stopped heart. The team is expected to have AEDs installed in every Seattle Public School by late September.
