A native of Tacoma, Paul brings significant education and central office administration experience to Seattle Public Schools.

Paul joined Seattle Public Schools in May 2011. Previously, Paul was the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the Renton School District, and he served as Director of Human Resources for the Tacoma Public Schools. Paul’s career in Tacoma included teaching at the elementary and secondary level. In addition, he was an assistant principal and principal at the middle and high school level for 23 years.

Paul earned his Superintendent Certificate from Western Washington State University, his Masters in Educational Administration from Seattle University and his Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington State University.
