PreK-3rd Professional Development
Supporting children in developing to develop a strong foundation both socially and academically is a crucial step in eliminating achievement gaps. Research on brain development has identified that most potent time for learning are the early years and the most effective instruction is differentiated building on what children already know and preparing them for what they will learn next.
SPS Early Learning Professional development brings staff together across the PreK-3rd continuum to learn common core instructional strategies and how to use these strategies to differentiate instruction based on students development.
Currently Early Learning professional development is open to PreK-3rd teaching staff working at elementary and K-8 schools which receive state funding to offer full day kindergarten.
