Certificated category verification
Funding and staffing needs may change in schools, resulting in layoffs or displacement of some staff. Non-supervisory certificated staff are retained or displaced or identified for Reduction In Force (RIF) according to your seniority in each category (codes given to teaching areas) you hold. It is important that you review the categories you hold and add or delete categories as needed. Please refer to the Authorized Categories directory and the Career and Technical Education Categories listed below for the complete list of categories. If you need to make changes to your categories, use the Category Verification form listed below and submit to Human Resources, mail stop 33-381.
