Student videos at Lafayette, Loyal Heights  elementaries selected as finalists in SIFF competition

Luca Rose, from Lafayette Elementary, and Ellie Dynes from Loyal Heights Elementary – both fifth-graders – are finalists in the Seattle International Film Festival "Three Minute Masterpiece" film competition.

Luca was selected for his film, "Our Grass is Always Greener." The music video was made by Luca, and his friends from Ms. Cynthia Adam's class - Kenny Arnold, Olivia D'Amico and Johnny McConaghy. Ellie was selected for her clay-animation film, "Piggiepalooza," about a guinea pig talent show.

The award will be presented 10 a.m., May 21 at the Seattle Film Festival in the Seattle Center.
