Aki Kurose Middle School Academy to share information, build relationships with March 12 'Neighborhood Walk'
Families, staff and community members of the Aki Kurose Middle School Academy will walk through their neighborhood March 12 to share information and build relationships with neighbors and businesses.
The goal of the walk (and subsequent “Neighborhood Walks”) will be to provide businesses and neighbors with the school’s contact information, daily schedule, calendar of the year’s events, and some examples of great things happening at the school.
Aki Kurose’s mission is to increase student achievement – and the students’ health, safety, and school attendance – through the expansion of the Family and Community Plan.
Dan Golosman, consulting teacher at the District’s Department of English Language Learners and International Programs, will be stopping by businesses near the intersection of MLK and South Graham Street on Friday, March 11, to hand out information. Dan is also a Principal Intern at Aki Kurose Middle School Academy and John Stanford International School. For more details, contact Dan at (206) 252-0395 or dpgolosman@seattleschools.org.
