Students advance to state in March 23-25 leadership competition

Students and teams from seven schools will compete March 23-25 at the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) state leadership conference in Wenatchee. The individuals and teams received a gold rating in each of their STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events which qualified them to move onto the state level of competition.

The students are from Ballard, Franklin, Nathan Hale, Ingraham, Roosevelt, Southlake and West Seattle high schools.

The events included Parliamentary Procedures, Job Interview, Food Innovation, National Program in Action, Chapter Service Project Manual, Career Investigation, Illustrated Talk, Recycle and Redesign, Advocacy, National Programs in Action and Interpersonal Communication. FCCLA state officers Mei Louie and Anna Nguyen from Ingraham High School organized and hosted the regional level of competitive events.
