Singing Valentine registers with Enrollment Services employee

January 14, 2011 | Audience: Families, Community, Staff | Contact: Communications, (206) 252-0200

The Barbershop singing group ''What's Cookin'?," a Very Large Quartet of the Seattle SeaChordsmen, delivered a Singing Valentine to the John Stanford Center on Feb. 14. The group, dressed in tuxedos, sang three love songs, delivered a single rose and handed a personalized Valentine's Day card to Kathy Parks, an enrollment technician, in Enrollment Services. Kathy's husband, Tom Parks, third from right in above photo, is a member of 'What's Cookin?' The Seattle SeaChordsmen is a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international singing organization formed to preserve and encourage barbershop quartet singing in Greater Seattle with special emphasis on vocal education in local high schools. The Singing Valentine was a gift from Tom and Kathy's daughter, Cait Parks.
