Superintendent's message to families regarding budget crisis
School Superintendent Maria L. Goodloe-Johnson, Ph.D., sent a message to families on Feb. 8 giving an update on the serious budget crisis facing the School District. The District is facing a $36.6 million shortfall for the 2011-12 school year abnd forced to make agonizing decisions regarding funds and expenses. The District is currently developing recommendations to reduce the central administrative office by $6 million to $12 million. For more detailed information, see the Budget website.
