Summer Music 2013

The program is designed for grades 4 - 8. (Third grade completed.)
• Students must have completed at least one year of instrumental instruction.
• Early registration is recommended.
• Pre-registration is required and full tuition must be received 10 business days prior to the first day of attendance.
• Operation of Summer Music sessions is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
• Summer Music Tax ID number: 91-6001541.
• Instruction in piano and guitar are not offered during Summer Music.
• No on-site registration.

• Please fill out the bottom portion of the registration form, medical form and Photo Release (one form per child). Detach and enclose a check or money order made payable to Seattle Public Schools.

Ingraham High School

Monday, June 24th – Friday, July 12th, No class July 4th
Provided Classes:*
- Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Band
- Beginning and Intermediate String Orchestra
- Jazz Band
Activities: Technique classes, small ensembles, recess time with choice of activities, assemblies, possible field trip, plus last-day pizza party.
Evening Concert: Session concludes with an evening concert on Thursday, July 11th featuring all performing groups.
West Seattle High School

Monday, June 17th – Friday, July 5th, No class July 4th
Provided Classes:*
- Combined Band
- Combined Strings
- Beginning Jazz Ensemble
- Solos, small ensembles
Activities: Small ensembles, improvisation, composition, recess time with choice of activities, possible field trip, plus last-day pizza party.
Weekly Concerts: Each week concludes on Friday with an informal daytime program.
*NOTE: Class offerings are dependent on sufficient enrollment. Class placement is dependent on experience and ability.
Both Programs
• All sessions run 9 AM – 12 PM daily.
• Teachers are certificated public school music teachers.
• All sheet music is provided by the program.
• A $150.00 minimum deposit is due with registration; Tuition for 3 weeks is $250.00.
• Partial Attendance: $18/day for a minimum of five consecutive days (except the week of July 4th).
