Arts: Seattle K-12 Arts Learning Collaborative
Every student should have the opportunity to learn through the arts. The Seattle K – 12 Arts Learning Collaborative has, with input from students, families, artists, educators and the business community, developed a comprehensive K-12 Arts Plan to ensure that all students at all schools have that opportunity.

Why do we need a citywide K-12 Arts Plan?
Research clearly shows that arts instruction helps students to be successful in school and in life. And there is already a lot of arts learning happening in Seattle schools. However, access to arts education varies from school to school and there is limited connection between elementary and secondary programs. Implementation of the K-12 Arts Plan will bolster what's already happening, close the access gap, leverage the expertise of our community partners, and create continuity in learning from year to year. Through a coordinated effort we will ensure success for all of our students!
The SPS K-12 Arts Plan was made possible with a generous planning grant from the Wallace Foundation.
