More than 30 schools to receive Building, Technology, Academics (BTA) work this summer
More than 30 schools will receive BTA work this summer, including many projects which will result in improved safety and energy savings.
The scope of work consists of new digital controls for heating, cooling and lighting, boiler burner replacements, roofing, electrical and mechanical upgrades, ground source heat pump, exhaust fans and meters, air handling units, fire alarms and emergency lighting, modernization and construction of new science classrooms and field and track upgrades.
Work is being done at: Adams, Bagley, B.F. Day, Bryant, Coe, Gatewood, Gatzert, Green Lake, Hawthorn, Hay, Leschi, McDonald, Montlake, Olympic Hills, Olympic View, Thurgood Marshall and View Ridge elementary schools; Jane Addams, Broadview-Thomson, Salmon Bay and Whitworth/Orca K-8 schools; Franklin, Rainier Beach, Roosevelt and West Seattle high schools, and at the Boren, Fairmount Park, John Marshall and Wilson Pacific buildings.
