About the Assignment Lookup Tool

The results of Open Enrollment for School Choice are now available.

About Assignment

As a general rule, your student is assigned to the same school for next year as they are attending now. Students who are moving up to middle or high school will be automatically assigned to their neighborhood school. For more information about student assignment, please visit our Student Assignment webpage.

About Waitlists

Waitlists are formed when there is no space available at a school and grade, in a specific program. The waitlist positions are based on applicable tiebreakers. The District cannot guarantee a choice assignment, that space may become available, or that the waitlist will move.

Adjustments to waitlist rank order may be necessary due to program changes, agent, or system error. Please contact Admissions with inquiries.

All waitlists will remain active through Aug. 31 and then will be dissolved; as seats become available, the student next on the waitlist will be contacted by Admissions to accept or decline the choice assignment offer.

Waitlists at attendance area schools will not move until district staff review updated spring staffing allocations in mid-June. Waitlist moves at option schools will continue through August 31 based on current school staffing and available seats in classrooms. For more information, please see this page.

Click here to view the waitlist summary report - this report will be updated at least once per week until waitlists are dissolved on Aug. 31, 2017.
