Volunteering with Seattle Public Schools
Thank you for visiting our volunteer pages! Volunteers are an essential part of our efforts to ensure academic achievement for every student in every school. By tutoring, mentoring, assisting with activities or otherwise sharing unique talents and time, volunteers make a valuable contribution toward the success and well-being of our students.

Interested volunteers should start by visiting Getting Started which will explain the quick and easy process of becoming a volunteer in Seattle Public Schools. Then, to find out what types of opportunities are available, where, and who to contact, check out the listing of Volunteer Opportunities.

FACT: Did you know that Seattle Public Schools has a yearly average of about 18,000 volunteers working toward student achievement?

Thank you for your interest in helping our students!

Volunteer at Seattle Public Schools
Tutoring and mentoring improve students' academic mastery and self-esteem, cut dropout rates, truancy and tardiness, provide emotional support and positive role models...and reduce teacher time on repetitive work.
