This handbook offers helpful information to anyone volunteering in Seattle Public Schools. Included are tips for working with students, communicating with staff and some helpful ideas about expectations for your work in our schools. For slower computers we have broken down the handbook into several downloadable pieces.

Tutoring Basics is a tutoring handbook designed for volunteers who are providing academic instruction to our students. This information is gathered from a variety of community resources including Seattle Public Schools staff and community-based tutoring programs. It is most helpful if combined with the Introduction to Tutoring Workshops offered for tutors throughout the year.
