Walking to School is
an Important Part of Seattle Public School's Transportation
System.
The
school district offers:
- Safe Routes Maps for all Schools serving K-5 students
- A District-wide School Traffic & Safety Committee
- Assistance to School Safety Patrols
Many
parents, families, teachers, and community members express interest
in working to improve conditions for walking to school. A local
non-profit organization, Feet
First, is experienced with walk-to-school programs and can
assist people who want to get started.
