Program Tuition and Refund Policy
*(Please see note below regarding fee increase
for the 2008 - 2009 school year.)*
These fees apply to all programs for the
2007 - 2008 school year.
There is no reduced fee or scholarships for low-income students
because Washington State no longer provides funding for Traffic
Education programs. Full tuition is due at the time of
registration.
- Traffic Education Fee - $415.00
- Course Repeat Fee - $270.00
This fee applies to students who have previously taken the
course through the Seattle Public Schools and need to repeat either
the classroom instruction or on-street driving sessions - or
both.
If a student misses the final drive session (final test) he/she
may be charged an additional $45.
Additional driving sessions (outside of the usual instruction
time) are available for $45.00 an hour.
Please note that tuition is collected just prior to a scheduled
session, e.g. payment for Session 1 is not accepted until the
September 12 registration day and tuition for the Fall Saturday
program is not accepted until after school starts in September.
Refunds
There is a $20.00 refund processing fee for canceling a
registration. Refund requests must be made in writing (mail, fax,
or email) by the parent/guardian prior to the first day of class
or the tuition will be forfeited. If a class is canceled due to
insufficient enrollment, the full amount will be refunded.
*2008 - 2009 School Year Fees*
Beginning in September of 2008 fees will increase to cover
rising gasoline and other program-related costs. Enrollment into
the last after-school program beginning in April or the summer
school program beginning in June will be your last opportunities to
take advantage of the lower 2007 - 2008 fees.
2008 - 2009 Tuition
- Traffic Education Fee: $449.00
- Course Repeat Fee: $294.00
- Extra driving sessions: $49.00 an hour
- Retake of the final behind-the-wheel drive test: $ $49.00
