Replacement of Certificate of Completion


If you have successfully completed both the classroom and on-street driving portions of a Seattle Public Schools traffic education course and have lost or misplaced your completion certificate, we can issue you a new one. The first replacement certificate is free, there is a $10.00 processing fee for each additional certificate (make check or money order out to Seattle School District #1).


To obtain a replacement certificate, please provide the following:

  • A letter signed by a custodial parent or guardian authorizing the Traffic Education Department to issue the replacement
  • Student information: full legal name; current address; date of birth; school where the course was taken
  • A daytime telephone number or email address of the parent or guardian (in case we have questions)
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope

Please allow one week for this service.

If you would like to come to our offices to pick it up, please bring picture identification, e.g., your driver permit or school ID.

Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We recommend that you call (206-252-4735) before coming to the office to ensure that there is someone available to assist you.
