Summer Programs
Seattle Public Schools will offer summer semester programs for
elementary and high school students from June 30 through July 31.
Times and locations vary according to grade level and
program:
High School
Classes held Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Program components include grades 9-12 credit retrieval.
High School Sites: West Seattle High Seattle, Ballard, Franklin,
Cleveland.
Elementary School
Will run from June 30 through July 31st, 2008 (with a break for
Independence Day July 3rd-4th). Classes will be held on Monday
through Friday each week and will focus on literacy and mathematics
for students who were in 2nd, 3rd, 5th grade during the 07-08
school year. There is no charge for this program, and we strongly
encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. Breakfast and
Lunch Class will begin at 9:00 am. Students will be dismissed at
12:30.
Elementary Sites: Roxhill, John Hay, Broadview Thompson, T.T.
Minor, Van Asselt, Denny, Aki Kurose, Whitman.

Summer College
Summer College is an innovative partnership between the Seattle
Public Schools, Seattle Community College District and the City of
Seattle. Summer College provides students with an opportunity to
experience life on a community college campus, earn credits towards
high school graduation and accelerate student achievement through
curriculum focused on meeting standard on the high school
Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL). The six-week
program will be located on three community college campuses –
South Seattle, Seattle Central, and North Seattle. Classes held
Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2:30 pm, July 9-August
14, 2008.
