Partnerships Program

The Family Support and Community
Partnerships Program works to strengthen and support the ability of
families to become equal partners with Seattle Public Schools by
collaboratively building and sustaining partnerships with families
and their communities in order to enable children to be successful
and to thrive in school and life.

This program consists of
three collaborative components:
- Readiness to Learn
Project
Trains Parent
Leader Training in 11 high need elementary schools. Provides
social/emotionalskills practice to identified kindergarten students
in two schools.
- Family Support
Workers
Strive to inspire
children to succeed academically by providing educational
supplies/services and vital resources that help families overcome
barriers to their social, emotional and physical
wellbeing.
- Family and Community
Partnerships
Partners with
community based organizations to provide culturally appropriate
support to help families at 20 highest-need elementary schools
assist in their children's learning.
