The Department of Education Technology REA in the Seattle Public Schools manages a number of different functions.

We are primarily responsible for monitoring enrollment figures for the district, supporting standardized testing (the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, the Direct Writing Assessment, the Washington Assessment of Student Learning, the Developmental Reading Assessment), conducting surveys, tracking and reporting student and school academic achievement indicators, publishing the Data Profile: District Summary, school annual reports, school effectiveness profiles and school outcome profiles.
