ASVAB Test

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a test offered to high school students in most high schools across the United States. The department of Defense offers the test free of charge to high schools and uses the test results to streamline the military admission process. Many students, however, also take this test as a pre-SAT test, an aptitude test, and/or a career guidance opportunity.

Taking the ASVAB test is voluntary. Parent permission is required for students under 18 years of age.

Students who wish to take the ASVAB test but who do not want their names and contact information added to the military’s recruiting list, may protect the privacy of their names and contact information by selecting Option 8 on the test.
