Seattle Public Schools will offer the Pre-Assessment Seminar for the Professional Certification program through its partnerships with Seattle University and the University of Washington. This seminar is the first step toward Professional Certification for teachers who hold a Residency Certificate. Seminar Kick Off is on January 22!

To register for a PGC training session, call SEA at 283-8443 or e-mail cwalker@washingtonea.org. PGC training sessions (co-sponsored by the District and the SEA) are designed to provide techniques for implementation of the professional growth evaluation process. Eligible employees and evaluators who have not been trained may register for a three-hour PGC training session by calling the SEA at 283-8443. If you have questions, you may contact the Employee/Labor Relations office at 252-0390 or call Joan Matheson at 283-8443.

 
Site Based Interview Training
 

If you are interested in serving on an upcoming interview team, but have not yet been trained, please plan to attend one of the Site-Based Interview Training sessions.

Please be aware that ALL persons involved in the site-based screening and interviewing must have attended this training. Sessions are open to all administrators, certificated, and classified employees, as well as parents, students and community representatives. If you know staff or community members who might be interested, please alert them.
