Science Safety Workshop

Description:  This workshop is a K20 Video Conference sponsored by the Washington Schools Risk Management Pool.  The presenter will describe the hazards that many high-risk chemicals pose; how to systematically identify them and less hazardous alternatives that can be used in place of them.  In addition, proper chemical storage and handling strategies for high-risk chemicals will be discussed.  Chemical Hygiene Law and the Department of Health/OSPI Guide to School Safety will be covered.  This program is designed for high school and middle school Chemical Hygiene Officers, Science teachers and Risk Managers.  Once you have registered you will receive a district-initiated substitute release form in the mail, you will be responsible for confirming a substitute for this date.
