My kids spend time everyday reading quietly. Is that Independent Reading? What about SSR? Come learn more about independent reading...how to organize, structure & manage independent reading in your classroom. We ill review all parts of independent reading; environments, routines, mini-lessons, reading response and conferring with students to determine
next steps for moving them forward to proficiency. You will walk away with many handouts and some practical steps to get started or move ahead.
