PERMANENT STAFF POSITIONS

Permanent Staff Positions are assigned to work daily during the entire school year at a specific school lunch room. The work schedules for these positions vary from 1.0 to 8.0 hours and range in responsibility from Lunch Room Assistant to the Operations Manager of the Central Kitchen.

Permanent Position vacancies are posted on Positions Available announcements throughout the school year. Postings are always open for a minimum of two weeks from the announcement date. Interested candidates are asked to fill out and submit an application. Following the closing date for the Positions Available announcement, all qualified applicants will be scheduled to take a written skills test. Qualified applicants must achieve an overall score of 70% or higher on the written skills test to be considered for an interview for a vacant position. The top three (3) candidates (a maximum of five (5) with lateral transfer requests) will be interviewed for each vacant position.

Positions that remain vacant after the initial round of posting, testing and interviewing, will be posted a second time for a minimum of two weeks. If a position remains vacant at the end of a second posting, it will remain open indefinitely until a qualified applicant is hired.

The Position Available announcement below lists the current vacant Permanent Staff Positions for which candidates are being recruited.
