This calculator was developed to assist school district staff, parents and students in determining whether certain snack foods are compliant with school districts nutrition policies. Since making this tool available to the public, we have become aware of its potential role in nutrition education within the classroom and in the community.

Many school districts and organizations have expressed interest in having a similar tool on their websites. We understand the time, labor and financial burdens that school districts and health organizations operate under so we would like to offer this tool to other non-profit organizations free of charge. In doing so, we ask that you provide credit to Seattle Public Schools and STEPS to Health King County in the form of the logos provided.

We are providing a "zip" file with the code to the calculator and instructions on modifying it for use within your organization below. We recommend that you work with your IT and Nutrition Services Departments to ensure correct modifications to this code.
