Frequently Asked Questions - International Schools

What are the District’s current international schools?

Three elementary schools are designated as international schools: Beacon Hill, Concord, and John Stanford. Two middle schools are also designated as international schools: Denny and Hamilton. Each school will continue to be an attendance area international school. We anticipate that the attendance area middle school that includes Beacon Hill as one of its feeder schools will become an international middle school by the time students from Beacon Hill are ready for middle school.

Because they are popular among families and help educate students for living and working in a global society, we may offer international programs at other attendance areas and schools in the future.

Are international schools considered attendance area schools under this plan?

Yes, all international schools are considered attendance area schools.

Top
What are the feeder patterns for international schools?

We anticipate that Concord will feed into Denny; that John Stanford will feed into Hamilton; and that the attendance area middle school that includes Beacon Hill as one of its feeder schools will become an international middle school by the time students from Beacon Hill are ready for middle school. High Schools can apply to be designated as an International High School.

How will these recommendations provide educational continuity for international program students?
