The Migrant Education
Program (MEP) in Seattle Public Schools supports migrant students
and families through a number of programs and services designed for
their special needs.
MEP Home Visitors >
top
The home visitor makes an effort to identify migrant students
as soon as they arrive in the Seattle area and enroll the students
in school as soon as possible. MEP works hard to make education a
family affair. Home visitors that identify and enroll migrant
students form a bridge between the parents and schools. Working
closely together, home visitors and parents help migrant students
overcome educational barriers that may otherwise go
unchallenged.
