alert:
Beginning Oct 18, 2009
and lasting until the end of 2011, westbound Spokane St at the
street level will be closed to through traffic from 4th Ave S to
1st Ave S to enable widening of the S Spokane St Viaduct. During
this period westbound traffic will be detoured north to S Lander St
and west to the recently rebuilt 1st Ave S. In Dec. 2009 this
closure will be extended to include westbound Spokane between 6th
and 4th avenues next Spring from 1st to E Marginal Way S.
The
Spokane St Widening Project will replace both the current westbound
off-ramp at 4th Ave and the on-ramp west of 1st Ave with a combined
on and off ramp at 1st Ave, as well as double the width of the
upper roadway and replace the lower roadway, curbs sidewalks. For
