The Computer and Network Operations Group is responsible for the operation, administration, and security of all central computer systems (VAX, Sun Solaris and Windows 2000) and for data network administration, operation, and security. The group is responsible for processing the District's daily computer workload and for assuring that the District's central computers and data network resources are available at optimal performance levels on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include computer hardware and network equipment maintenance, systems administration, computer and network equipment maintenance, system administration, computer and network security, performance tuning, computer and network troubleshooting, running production computer schedule , and managing the physical operation of the District's data center.
