Library Media Services
Cathy McLeod, Supervisor, phone: (206) 252-0500, email: csmcleod@seattleschools.org

The Library Media Services group is responsible for much of the instructional content that is delivered to students and staff via various kinds of technology. The Library Media Services group gives overall direction to the school library system (central servers, library computers, cataloging, software licenses, and library use policies); provides Professional Development for librarians; maintains web sites for librarians; and provides online resources for students and teachers.

The Professional Library provides instructional resources and research literature for staff, and assists with adoption and purchase of instructional materials. Library Media Services supervises the Instructional Broadcast Center (television studio and Comcast cable channel 26, Millennium Channel 75), which creates and broadcasts programming about the school district, professional development, and instruction.
