Instructional Technology, Training & TechLine

The Instructional Technology Staff is responsible for providing training and support for eSIS (student informatoin system) elementary teacher training and elementary principal eSIS mentoring. The Instructional Technology staff work with coaches and others at the school sites to design methodology and strategy for schools to use technology enriched teaching strategies including:

  • Researched best practices for literacy and math.Connection with curriculum.Consideration of best use of time.
  • Integration into the SPS Curriculum Standards.

The Instructional Technology staff will also be providing training support for new central and teaching staff.

The Training & TechLine group assists district staff in learning to use technology and applications. They provide ongoing support through our TechLine. This group also provides a wide variety computer application and technical classes. Team members come from diverse technical and school based backgrounds and bring to their tasks a good understanding of users' needs both in solving problems and in determining the best approach to the objectives.
