SE Initiative Teaching
Opportunities
Thank you for your
interest in the teaching opportunities at the SE Initiative
schools. The positions at Aki Kurose, Cleveland, Rainier Beach will
remain open until filled. To apply for the listed
positions:
- Prepare a 1. Site
Application, 2. Cover letter, and 3. Resume for the jobs for which
you are qualified to apply. The cover letter should clearly outline
how you meet the requirements of the position.
- Eligibility for any
certificated position requires the approved teaching category or
the appropriate endorsed Washington State Teaching
Certificate.
- Please submit your
packets directly to the appropriate address;
Aki Kurose Middle School, 3928 South Graham Street, Seattle, WA
98118; Cleveland High School, 5515 15th Ave South, Seattle, WA
98108;
Rainier Beach High School, 8815 Seward Park South, Seattle, WA
98118.
- One
Site Application/packet is needed for each open position as each
school has their own hiring teams and will not be able to make
copies to send to other hiring teams.
- School/Program
interview committees screen applications based on specific criteria
developed by the committee.
- The
school/program committee conducts the interviews and the
principal/program manager checks references for the recommended
candidate. Recommendations are reviewed by the Human Resources
Service Team assigned to that school before the
“official” offer is made.
- Employees selected for
a position will be required to complete a Standard Application for
their personnel file at the time of their hire unless they are a
current employee.
