Financial Services provides financial policy planning to the Superintendent and Seattle School Board.  Financial Services also coordinates the activities of the following departments: 

• Accounting Services:  Ensures internal controls effectively maintain the integrity of financial records and safeguard District assets
• Budget Office:  Provides financial technical assistance to schools and departments in allocating budget between staff salaries and supply costs
• Distribution Services:  Purchasing, Warehouse, and Mail Services.
• Publishing & Copying:  Provides all printing services to District employees.

Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction: (OSPI) - OSPI allocates $4.5 billion per year to Washington's schools and implements state funding formulas and laws. OSPI's Financial Services unit oversees school district accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
