CFO
Under the direction of
the Executive Director, Financial Services provides financial
policy planning to the Superintendent and Seattle School
Board. Financial Services also coordinates the activities of
the following departments:
- Accounting
Services: Ensures internal controls effectively maintain the
integrity of financial records and safeguard District
assets
- Budget Office:
Provides financial technical assistance to schools and departments
in allocating budget between staff salaries and supply
costs
- Distribution
Services: Purchasing, Warehouse, and Mail
Services.
- Payroll Services:
Processes all of the District's salary obligations and
associated deductions, taxes and benefits.
- Publishing &
Copying: Provides all printing services to District
employees.

Public Instruction: (OSPI) - OSPI allocates $4.5 billion per
year to Washington's schools and implements state funding formulas
and laws. OSPI's Financial Services unit oversees school district
accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
